Welcome to your antidote for election anxiety.

Free Hope.

Wondering what you can do to make a difference? Want to influence this election that’s about to shape the direction of our collective futures? Same.

Here’s some hope in action.

Throughout history, ordinary people have achieved radical change. It only requires 3.5% of a population to be engaged in order to shape world politics. Come and learn how people power happens, and how you can be part of it (in a way that works for you). There’ll be a Q&A, and a workshop on how to build a ballot based on values.

Join two enormously hope-filled humans, Climate Change Campaigner Isaac Astill, and Greens Candidate Katie McCusker. Hosted by Tessa and Triton. Dose up on inspiration and motivation. Feel empowered about what’s possible. Ask questions to folks who’ve made amazing things happen. Bring a pal who needs a political mood boost.

Come for the free drinks (yes, wine) and the free snacks (raw vegan treats of course). Stay for the free hope.

From rural towns near proposed coal ports to national campaigns targeting big banks, Isaac has campaigned across the continent. He’s played key roles in the fossil fuel divestment movement, #StopAdani, School Strike 4 Climate, and now with the Greens.

For his efforts, Isaac is a Bob Brown Young Environmentalist of the Year.

People power works. Isaac’s seen it. Just watch out, he’s got a clipboard and a pitch.

Special Guest: Katie McCusker

Katie McCusker is the Greens candidate for the seat of Sturt in Adelaide’s east.

With a lifelong connection to the community in the eastern suburbs, Katie is driven by a commitment to social, economic, and environmental justice. She is a leader, conciliator, activist, and a mother devoted to improving the lives of others. Through her work in the Attorney-General’s Department and SA Health, Katie has dedicated herself to improving people’s wellbeing. Katie has been an active member of the Greens SA since 2005 and has undertaken multiple roles to gain an understanding of the Australian political landscape.

Katie has previously run for the Greens three times, and each time has taken the Greens vote to new heights. Together with the Greens huge people-powered movement, Katie has made the seat of Sturt one of the most winnable seats for the Greens in Australia.
