Crafted for those wanting to learn about yoga from the very beginning. What is it? How can you do it in a way that works for your body?

 

A safe and welcoming space to take the first steps in your yoga practice. Over a 6 week curriculum, explore ideas, learn techniques, and cultivate self-awareness to feel empowered in any yoga class. Build the skill to move safely, try on options for different shapes, and gain insight on both traditional wisdom and contemporary knowledge.

 

You’ll learn:

  • History and origins of yoga
  • Basic anatomy and terminology
  • Common postures and techniques
  • Intro to mindfulness practices
  • The nervous system & breath work
  • Traditional concepts & modern evolutions

 

Each week will mix movement practices with some discussion, seated exercises, and Q&A. Perfect for those who want to start slowly and build a solid foundation to move out into other classes.

 

We encourage you to join for the 6 week block, to build your learning and connect to the group.

 

Can’t make every session? No sweat! This course repeats on a rolling basis, so you can pick up what you missed in the next 6 weeks. Book yourself in for each week via the class schedule.
