Location

Located in Inman Valley, you’ll unwind at this stunning, ecologically designed facility. Set on a large property with native bushland and next to a conservation park, guests tread lightly on the land, using sustainable products, clean composting toilets, and rainwater-fed hot showers.

The main building is a breathtaking open space with sweeping views of the Fleurieu and ocean.

This off-grid paradise is home to many native birds and animals. Kangaroos often graze and relax a few metres from the premises and eagles soar on the ridgetop. The traditional custodians of the land are the Ngarrindjeri people, we are incredibly fortunate and privileged to be guests in this majestic place and commit to treading lightly.

Meet the Facilitators

Sam Lutze physio

Sam Lutze – Retreat leader

Sam’s relationship with movement as a young person was defined by focus, commitment & competitiveness as a long & middle-distance runner. It wasn’t until his early 20’s when on a gap year (or 3) chasing the snow between Victoria and Japan that he discovered the freedom and fulfilment of moving in harmony with the natural world. On completion of his degree he then travelled to India to immerse himself in yoga teacher training and has been on a journey of deeper and deeper self-knowing since.

In recent years, Sam has amalgamated these mindsets through the world of Adventure Racing – trekking, mountain biking & kayaking through bush, wilderness & whitewater (often multiple days at a time) using only a map & compass.

Outside of the clinic and studio, Sam enjoys spending quality time out in nature – trail running, bushwalking, mountain biking, kayaking and showing his young daughter Maya how to (safely) jump out of trees!

Nicola Burdette – Naturopath

About to become a qualified Naturopath at the end of 2024, Nicola has a deep passion for supporting others through nutrition, lifestyle, and herbal medicine to optimise health. Over the past 6 months she has discovered a love for running, and with a deep understanding of the body’s nutritional needs, is excited to lean more into this space and support other runners in optimising their energy, performance, and recovery.

A 25 year old man with strawberry blonde hair and a pale blue t-shirt smiles at the camera. He is standing against a dark wall.

Steven Cutts – Yoga teacher

Steve has been a student of yoga for about 5 years. He fell in love with the practice after visiting Nepal in 2020.

His passion for yoga also stemmed from an interest in all aspects of the mind which led him to study psychology at university. He completed his 200 hour vinyasa teacher training in 2023, which sparked his passion for anatomy and philosophy. “For me, yoga has always been about coming home to myself. Having the opportunity to spend part of my day bringing awareness to my breath has really helped me navigate the chaos of modern living.”

Bianca Markovic – Catering

Bianca is a degree Naturopath and herbalist with a deep interest in the intricacies of gut and skin health. Alongside of her naturopathic practice she also offers educational workshops on herbalism, food as medicine and wild edible weeds to inspire a love for the natural world and instill a deep sense of connection to it. Her Italian roots guide the way as she delves deeper into mediterranean wisdoms and traditional medicine of the south of Italy where her family originates. She has returned just this year from learning with some of the best organic medicinal herb growers and traditional herbalists throughout Italy and continues to weave these learnings deeper into her practice and workshops.
