Course Information

*This training is a part of the 300-hour advanced teacher training, or 30 hours of continuing education hours through Yoga Alliance.

This advanced teacher training is designed to deepen your capacity to teach with clarity, responsiveness and purpose. Through daily practice, lectures and guided learning, you will experience embodied examples of intelligent sequencing, precise cueing and effective communication.

In this training you will move beyond the limitations of memorised cues. You will develop the ability to see the bodies in front of you and respond with guidance that is relevant to the moment. By cultivating a sharper observational eye and deeper knowledge of the human body, you will learn to recognise the unique physical patterns, capacities and limitations within each student, allowing you to offer instruction that is both appropriate and supportive.

Throughout the training, foundational yoga postures will be broken down in detail, accounting for the complexity and individuality of the human body. The aim is to help you remain present, integrated and aware while teaching, seeing and cuing in a way that lands and evolves the practice of the students in the room with you.

About Adam

With twenty years of experience teaching across the United States, Asia, and Australia, Adam Whiting’s approach to the many practices of yoga is rooted in the understanding that movement is a pathway toward self-understanding and a sense of belonging. His teaching seeks to bridge the gap between technical precision and embodied experience, merging anatomical fluency with integrated musicality.

Through a solid scaffolding of precise sequencing and elegant cueing, Adam’s classes, workshops, and trainings are designed to move students beyond the rational and relentless mind and into a state of steady presence. His practice and his teaching balance the strength of intelligent vinyasa with the settling and grounding practices of yin, meditation, and yoga nidra.
