Clinical Psychologist

A practicing psychologist since 2013, I am committed to fostering meaningful, productive, and supportive therapeutic relationships. Therapy need not be heavy, particularly if we feel like a team, and I can help carry the load.

My overarching vision is to empower individuals to lead their healthiest and most fulfilling lives by using a holistic approach to health. Through an exploration of history, biological, psychological, vocational and social factors I gain an understanding of how patterns of behaviour, and quality of life, can be improved. Nothing is more meaningful than personal growth that improves relationships, health and living a values-driven life. Realising your full potential in this way doesn’t have to start from a place of feeling unwell, or broken, a psychologist is like a personal trainer helping you develop psychological fitness and strength.

My specialisation lies in mood regulation, with particular expertise in supporting perinatal mental health, depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress, anorexia, bulimia and binge eating, and borderline personality. My practice is tailored to individuals aged 16 years and older who are seeking support in navigating these challenges.

I draw from a diverse range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-based approaches. I am currently learning more about somatic approaches and attachment and incorporating more of these into my practice. By tailoring these approaches to your unique needs and preferences, I strive to ensure that therapy is both effective and personalised.

Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience working in various clinical settings, including the Statewide Eating Disorder Service, SA Health Community Mental Health Teams, and the Department for Education, where I focused on well-being initiatives for staff and students across the department. I have been coming to Human.Kind as a yogi since 2018. I am so happy to be part of the Human.Kind provider family and this community which serves to empower individuals to live their healthiest and happiest life.
