Clinical Psychologist

I have been practicing Clinical Psychology for 11 years and pride myself on creating a relaxed and open space for self exploration and healing. I view therapy as a creative process where you bring your experience and self understanding, together we unpack your current experiences in the context of your history and present circumstances and develop a plan to meet your goals.

I work across many modalities, incorporating psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Deep Brain Reprocessing (DBR) and body focussed therapies. Through these I aim to create an individualised understanding and process for each person I work with. I work with adults and adolescents, welcoming diversity of all kinds and celebrating each person’s unique perspective.

I have worked across government, NGO and private clinics with a broad range of people. I worked in community mental health for 4 years and in the QEH pain clinic for 2 years. I am currently a Senior Psychologist at Headspace Early Adelaide where I have been for 4 years. My primary focus is working with self-exploration, trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, but I also have extensive experience with psychotic and dissociative disorders.

Creativity is a great passion of mine. Although it’s more playing around campfires these days, I have played guitar in a number of bands over the last 20 years. I am an avid spray painter and put up murals around the city, particularly loving when I see people take them in when passing by, drawing them out of their internal worlds and phones and into their surroundings.

I am so excited to be part of the Human.Kind family and dive into this community which serves to empower individuals to be their healthiest and most fulfilled selves.
