15 – 21 June 2026
**members presale on now till 17 Nov**
There are times when life stretches you thin. When you need space to soften back into yourself. Deep Rest retreat is the antidote to a world that’s always-on. Come steep yourself in nature’s unhurried intelligence.
Join Human.Kind Lead Facilitators Adam Whiting and Tessa Leon on this collective journey to a place with no walls, no rush, no edges. Trade glowing screens for fireflies. Swap the hum of notifications for rain on palm leaves. Swim beneath waterfalls, and let the pulse of the jungle lull you into its rhythms. You’ll practice slow flow, yin, and yoga nidra every day. Choose to come on guided walks deep into the forest. Sleep in open-air shared bungalows that dissolve into the living world around you.
Feel everything slow down as you let nature hold all that you’ve been carrying. Come rest deeply. Replenish your energy. Return with more to give.
Dates:
Mon 15 – Sun 21 June, 2026
Location:
Sth slopes of Mt. Batukaru,
Central Western Bali, Indonesia.
Cost:
On this retreat there are no musts. Follow your own schedule to take part in whatever resonates, leave what doesn’t.
Mornings begin with gentle guided meditation. After breakfast, slow flowing yoga brings you home to your body. Post lunch nap time, afternoons stretch wide with restorative practices. At sunset, soften into yoga nidra as the crickets begin their twilight song.
You’re invited to join two guided afternoon hikes to immerse in the forest. One shorter local walk, and one trek up sacred Mount Batukaru. Between practices, there’s time to unwind with your complimentary massage under the trees, go creek hopping, or meander through rice paddies. Feel free to book your own extra activities, from cooking classes to craft workshops.
Far, far away from the island’s influencers and trending bars, this sustainable eco-retreat is nestled in the remote rainforests near Mt Batukaru. Set amidst rice paddies, waterfalls, mountain streams and jungle food forests, it is operated in harmony with the local people and land. Integrating permaculture systems, farm to table food (especially heritage rice farming), water conservation, and hydropower energy.
Sleep in rustic open-air bungalows completely immersed in the landscape. Each unique communal bungalow is designed using locally sourced materials to blend into the forest. This is shared style living, with most room options twin share or partner share. Most bungalows have two bedrooms, one bathroom, and some include a lounge area.
‘Open-air’ means some rooms can only be enclosed by roll-down blinds, so it feels like you’re sleeping in the treetops and stars. Drift off to the chorus of crickets and rushing water, and wake up with the birds as sunlight filters through the forest canopy.
There’s no air-con here. Being wall-free provides a natural cooling system, (plus, it’s much cooler in the mountains than the coast). Needless to say – there are no TVs. If you’re not used to co-sleeping with geckos in your room, this retreat will challenge your idea of creature comforts!
Three full buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided,
all clean and fresh vegetarian food. Most dietary requirements can be catered for. 75% of the menu consists of authentic local cuisine, cooked by Balinese chefs using traditional methods. Most of what you eat is grown on-site, using sustainable farming practices, and harvested with love before each meal. Food waste is taken care of by the onsite chooks.
Additional food options including meat, fish, and alcohol are available to purchase for yourself.
