Connection and community are everything to me.

With a background as a professional performing artist, I have always been amazed by the power of storytelling and how collective experiences can be both effective forms of education and make us feel less alone.

Since starting at Human.Kind (then Power Living) in 2018 my life has been intrinsically shaped by the generous and diverse humans who I have met, and I’ve been equally grateful for the fabulous and intelligent colleagues who have become dear friends over the years.

My personal yoga practice has shifted significantly over time; now I feel that simply taking some reflective breaths in nature, or mindfully choosing a more skilful response, to be just as valuable a yogic practice as the one I do on my mat.

When I am facilitating a class, workshop, or retreat, I try to teach in an explorative and permissive way, listening and observing often- rather than trying to claim certainty. We all move through our yoga practice differently, looking for varied meanings and insights, so all I can hope to do is encourage self-inquiry and support students in a safe way.

I think yoga can be a subtle, inclusive, and ever evolving practice- just one way to help find meaning in life. Through it we can build healthier bodies, steadier minds, more compassionate hearts, whilst building our capacity to deal with the challenges life throws at us.

In the studio you can expect my attention, warmth, confidentiality, love of all forms of expression, and of course my deep respect. I work closely to manage the studio with Becca and directly oversee our wonderful team of therapists as well.

I am a proud member and leader of the LGBTQI+ community and acknowledge my work occurs ancient unceded Kaurna land.
