Common Ground

Changing the word community from a noun to a verb.

You are part of the Human.Kind family, but how can you really connect with the people you practice next to every week? It’s totally possible to feel lonely or unseen even as you move through the vibrant studio space, and we want to change that. In a world that is getting ever more confusing and fractured, the good future will rely on local circles of interconnection and care.

Common Ground is moving the word community from a noun to a verb. A thing you belong to, to a thing you co-create.

We’ll come together using a community grassroots model of organisation. With the purpose to connect, share skills and perspectives. Maybe you’ve been working on a PhD that others would find useful. Or you want to lead a sing-a-long. Or you have a philosophical question you want to make sense of. You can come with something you’d like to offer to the group, or go with the flow of the night.

How does it run?

First we eat: bring a plate or pot to share. If you can’t contribute, no worries, there will be food for you.

Then we create spaces: put your hand up to lead a session, or let your curiosity take you.

This first round will be supported by Triton, Tyler and Alex.
