I have always felt a pull towards movement. I spent my childhood and teenage years in a dance studio, refining skills, playing with shapes, and simultaneously losing and finding myself in my body as I moved.
My love for dance became muddied as my focus shifted from chasing the joy it gave me to chasing perfection. A strained relationship with dance and with my body saw me pack away my leotards and pursue a 9–5 career. While this change gave me space to heal, I began to feel as though something was missing. I was anxious, overwhelmed, and dysregulated—stuck inside my head and generally disconnected.
My therapist recommended I try yoga, so I found myself on a mat at Human.Kind. I felt things slowly clicking back into place as I reconnected with my love of movement. Yoga became a remedy to the emptiness, holding the space that dance used to occupy—but in a way that felt safe, nurturing, and like coming home to myself.
The pull towards yoga continued to grow as I began uncovering new layers of the practice. I listened to that pull and enrolled in Human.Kind’s 200HR vinyasa training, where I became inspired to teach and share the parts of yoga that resonated with me.
I am passionate about designing intentionally sequenced classes with satisfying transitions that invite an exploration of expressive movement. My classes tend to be fluid, rhythmic, and flowy, encouraging you to move with integrity, focus, and a sense of embodiment. I also love to insert moments of challenge and playfulness—where failure is encouraged, and we don’t have to take ourselves too seriously.
I love how a creative sequence can tell a story, how a good cue can unlock a new experience in a familiar pose, and how a cup of tea and a laugh after class can make everything feel a little lighter.
