Physio Yoga Assessment

Get expert support on your physical practice.
This 60 minute session is a personalised movement assessment led by a physiotherapist with deep experience in the anatomy and alignment of postural yoga. We’ll take a close look at how your unique body works, where you might be compensating, and what areas need more support or mobility. Whether you’re recovering from injury, building strength, or simply want to move more intelligently, this is a chance to understand your physiology on a deeper level. Together we’ll explore common posture patterns, transitions, and explore your movement habits to help refine your experience on (and off) the mat.

You’ll leave with tailored recommendations, and the confidence to practice safe, strong, and sustainably. Follow up support available if desired.

Yoga Therapy

Personalised healing through the lens of yoga.
Yoga Therapy is a one-on-one, holistic approach to health that integrates the principles and practices of yoga to address individual physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Led by Annabel Saies, Senior Facilitator and qualified Yoga Therapist, this session offers a tailored program that may include postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and lifestyle guidance to support your well-being. Recognised as a complementary health modality in Australia, Yoga Therapy empowers you to take an active role in cultivating your wellbeing. Whether you’re managing chronic conditions, recovering from injury, or seeking emotional balance, this therapeutic approach adapts to your unique circumstances, promoting self-awareness and resilience.

Annabel’s extensive experience ensures a compassionate and informed session, guiding you toward improved health and vitality. Follow-up support is available to assist you in integrating these practices into your daily life.

Yoga Therapy is a personalised, client-centred approach where you will work together with Annabel to build a practice that supports your goals, needs, and lifestyle. Each session is a co-creation, using yogic tools including movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and connection to purpose. These tools help you navigate life with greater awareness and insight.

Before your first session, you’ll complete a client intake form to share your aims, concerns, and lifestyle. This helps Annabel understand you as a whole person and prepare for your first session. The initial 75min session involves reviewing your intake form, clarifying key areas, and possibly including a physical or postural assessment. Together, you’ll identify supportive tools and build a practice that fits into your daily life.

Follow-up sessions are 60mins, and offer a chance to reflect, refine, and evolve your practice. As life shifts, your yoga therapy adapts with you, ensuring continued support, relevance and progress towards your goals.

A minimum three-session commitment is required when beginning Yoga Therapy. This holistic approach takes time to explore and refine the practices that will truly support and empower you in creating lasting change.

  1. Client Intake Form – To be completed at least three days before your first session. This allows Annabel time to review your concerns and prepare for a focused and informed session.

  2. Initial Session (75 mins) – After this session, you’ll receive a personalised yoga therapy practice and book your follow-up session within four weeks.

  3. One-Week Check-In – Annabel will check in a week after your first session to offer support and clarify any questions about your practice.

  4. Follow-Up Sessions (60 mins) – These sessions provide space to reflect, refine your practice, and ensure it’s aligned with your evolving needs and goals. You’ll review what’s working, adjust where needed, and stay focused on your core intentions.

The frequency of follow-ups is up to you, depending on your goals and how supported you feel in integrating the practice into your life.

Yoga Therapy never diagnoses or claims to heal. It is a complementary therapy, not intended as a substitute for medical advice, but as a supportive and integrative tool to empower the individual to find ways that yoga can support their wellbeing. Yoga Therapy is, in fact, a perfect tool to use in collaboration with and alongside other allied health services and modalities. It’s an integrative and holistic approach for all ages and stages of life, with no prior yoga experience required.

Come as you are. Leave feeling empowered, capable, and more at home in your body.

Exploration-Focused
There’s always more than one way to reach a health or fitness goal. Tyler takes an exploration-focused approach, helping you discover what works best for you, while drawing on what’s worked for others, plus the latest evidence from both academic research and proven alternative methods. His coaching is guided, adaptive, and open-minded.

Habit-Based
Perfection isn’t the goal, consistency is. Life is often unpredictable, so Tyler focuses on helping you build habits that are realistic, sustainable, and aligned with what you’re willing and able to do regularly. Rather than relying on external rewards, he supports you to develop internal motivation and rhythms that energise you and support your long-term health. We all know the basics, like moving more or eating more fruit and vegetables, but creating lasting change often means starting small and building gradually on habits you already have.

Holistic
Everything is connected. Tyler’s coaching takes a step back to look at the bigger picture, helping you identify unseen barriers and recognise how well you’re managing your health alongside the demands of life. The aim is to make health and fitness feel like an integrated, natural part of your lifestyle, not an added burden.

There are three key reasons you might seek the support of a coach:

1. You need a check-in or technical refinement
Whether you’re looking to fine-tune your exercise technique, such as squats, deadlifts, running, or pull-ups, or you want to develop a new skill like handstands, headstands, cartwheels, or muscle-ups, a coach can help guide your progress safely and effectively.

2. You have a goal but need structure and support
You may have a clear goal or a desire to make a change, but feel unsure how to get there. A coach can provide accountability and reassurance, helping you stay on track. This might involve designing a monthly training plan, developing stress management strategies, or improving your relationship with food to support your overall health.

3. You feel uncertain and want direction
If you’re not sure where to start or where you’re heading, working with a coach can help you clarify your path, set meaningful goals, and build a practical plan to move forward with confidence.

Initial Consultation
Your first session is an opportunity to explore your health and fitness goals and begin designing an approach to achieve them. This personalised plan may include:

  • A tailored monthly exercise program, built around your goals, preferences and needs.

  • A habit-based plan to improve nutrition, manage stress more effectively, and build the foundations of long-term health.

  • Regular check-ins to maintain momentum and adjust your plan as life changes.

Check-In Options
Your coaching schedule is shaped around your goals and lifestyle. This might include:

  • Fortnightly 20-minute coaching calls or chats to celebrate wins, troubleshoot barriers, and keep you moving forward.

  • In-person sessions at the gym or on the field to develop strength, improve technique, or build new physical skills.

The Coaching Cycle

  • Understand Your Current Position and Direction
Begin with a conversation about where you’re at and where you want to go.

  • Co-Create a Sustainable Plan
Collaborate with Tyler to design a strategy that fits your life and sets you up for long-term success.

  • Explore and Test in Real Life
Put the plan into action. Build new habits, try new skills, reflect on your progress, and adapt as needed.

  • Review and Realign
Fortnightly check-ins allow you to evaluate what’s working, adjust your approach, and overcome challenges—together.
